The 99 Day Novena is a program of prayer and so much more. It’s a transformative personalized journey for Catholics considering a vocation to religious life or priesthood.

Together with a Discernment Advisor of their own choosing, a discerner will use the innovative images and allegories provided in the daily meditations to open up a conversation with God about his or her particular call. Each day features a four page meditation along with a workbook section for personal application. 

The 99 Day Novena is not “Do It Yourself” discernment. From the very beginning, the discerner chooses a trusted companion, a spiritually wise guide, to serve as a Discernment Advisor (DA).

Some discerners will come to the end of this Novena with a definitive answer, but not all. Most will know which direction out of several would be best to explore in greater depth.

If 99 Days seems like a lot, don’t worry! We designed the Novena to have a relatively low impact on the Discernment Advisor’s schedule. You can also offer spiritual guidance by phone so you don’t have to be on-site with the candidate (unless you decide to).
